ETD (Emergency Treatment Department):
Also named the Emergency Department, it was built in 1994 with the help of the Royal Hospital in Edinborough (Team Medic One)
and of the BBC.
It consists of three main patient treatment rooms:
- The resuscitation room, designed for the care of critical patients, with two beds;
- The immediate treatment room, designed for the care of emergency patients who are stabilized or relatively stabilized, with five beds;
- The observation room, designed for the treatment of less severe conditions and for the observation of patients waiting for hospital admission, with five beds.

In 2000, ETD has admitted a number of 15,912
patients, compared to only approximatively 6,600 in 1999. This situation makes us consider the department's expansion with another 15 beds in treatment and diagnosis rooms.
Also here, in ETD, there is a training room and facilities used for the training programs and scientific activities of SMURD
