The Mures Military Fire Department, which employes the drivers, a medical assistant in chief, a number of on military duty personnel including medical assistants, accomodation for the on-call unit with three garages and four rooms including a training room, the fuel and maintenance for the mobile units.

  4. Donations from the citizens and the companies in Mures County, which allowed, as before mentioned, the purchase of a new mobile intensive care unit at the cost of 183,000 DM, in 1998
  5. Donations in equipment and materials from abroad, from several organizations which SMURD or the Fire Department have cooperated with. Here to mention that SMURD and the Mures Fire Department have close cooperation relationships with organizations from Scotland, England, France, Norway, United States, Canada, Italy, Switzerland, Germany and Holland.
  6. Funding from projects coming from foundations and national and international organizations, which only in 1998 have contributed with an amount of over 64,000 US$, coming from the Foundation for Open Society and from the Laerdal Foundation for Acute Medicine, mostly channelled on training and professional qualification of the SMURD staff and of other trainees in Romania.
