- April 4, 1936 - Once the Law for the Organization of Firemen is issued, the problem of military incorporations of the Firemen was brought up
- April 1, 1937 - The Targu Mures Fire Squad is founded
- February 2, 1946 - The Targu Mures Fire Squad is extended to a Military Fire Company
- July 1, 1953 - The Mures County Fire Group is founded, as a specialized unit for organizing specific missions of fire prevention and estinguishing, under the name "The Regional Fire Service of the Mures Magyar Autonome Region", subordinating the Tg. Mures Fire Company and the Fire Squads of Reghin, Sovata, Gheorgheni, Miercurea Ciuc, Odorheiul Secuiesc, Tg. Secuiesc and Sf. Gheorghe
- October 1968 - The Regional Fire Service of the Mures Magyar Autonome Region is named "The Mures County Firemen Group", subordinating the Fire Companies of Tg-Mures, Târnaveni, Reghin, Sighisoara
- 1991 - The operative service in command points is set up permanently
- September 1991 - Within the unit the Pilot Station for Emergency Medicine and Resuscitation was founded
- 1992 - The Technical and material Supply Office wss founded, at a later date becoming the Logistic and Financial Compartment
- April 1, 1994 - “The Mobile Emergency and Resuscitation Service” (SMUR) is founded; with the support of the local authorities the local administration the Sarmasu Fire Company is founded
- 1995 - The Medical Stationery is founded within the unit
- February 27, 1996 - In the township of Miercurea Nirajului the Intervention Guard was founded, as a component of the Tg. Mures Fire Department
- February 1997 - The Mures County Fire Group is named The "Horea" Mures County Fire Group
- April 2, 1997 - The "Horea" Mures County Fire Group is awarded the "Combat Flag", the highest symbol of military honor
- May 1, 1998 The Sarmasu Fire Company is changed into a Fire Station
- May 5, 1998 The Tg. Mures Fire Company is changed into the Tg. Mures Fire Draft
After 1989, support was given for personnel training and endowment, from the Firemen of Strathclyde – Scotland; Dorset – England; Trento – Italy; Sauda – Norway; Brescia – Italy; Paris – France.
For the future, with the support of the local administration, new Fire Squads will be founded, in the townships of Ludul, Sovata, Rîciu, Deda, Fîntînele. This will ensure the emergency response time of 15-20 minutes, according to international standars, throughout the entire Mures County.
