              "I’m representing Bellevue Hospital in New York, University Medical Center, here at Targu Mures. It has been a pleasure working here in the hospital with the residents, and the experience has been phenomenal. Dr. Arafat has been very gracious, very helpful, making this experience very pleasant for us. My colleagues have come here in the past and some others will be here in the future. The people here have learned something from what we can offer and I want us to learn something from what they can offer us and it’s been a great experience. After working with the SMURD team in the Emergency Room, I can say that their level of competency and of commitment is very high. I think that they are lacking some equipment for the Emergency Room, some diagnostic, imaging modalities, X-ray, CATSCAN, to make them reach diagnostics easier and faster. Aside from that, I mention again the very high level of commitment from the staff, especially the senior staff in the Emergency Room."

               I live under the impression that the Emergency Department represents the extent of the struggle of the doctors, the firemen, the specialists and the volunteers in saving human lives. God help us see this experience generalized in the entire country. I am grateful for your efforts.

               A few courses at the Medicine University, for some very nice and motivated colleagues, in an excellent atmosphere. An outstanding wellcoming, warm, from everybody and especially from Dr. Arafat. An Emergency Service which once visited makes your heart richer! And which surprises you! So, the firemen doctors can work as well in the mobile resuscitation units as in the hospital! This is a very interesting thing! It seems to be a very well organized and functional service, adapted to the requirenets of the Health System in Targu Mures. Thanks to you all.

               A young service having an organization so remarkably put together, served with such remarkable pragmatism and an eloquent enthusiasm. Here is a lesson of modesty for us who hope to be more "advanced" and who did not always started things right. Now that you, Dr. Arafat, are launched at sea in this storm, we wish you "good wind"! You have started to reach the farther and the most beautiful shores of the continent of science and emergency medicine.

               The experiment of the Pilot Center for Emergency Medical Assistance requires vitality, coherence and an efficience which it will bring to it the recognition as a positive example for all the centers in the country which are about to be founded. The team spirit doubled by the contagious enthusiasm of the entire team, the professional relations between the team members are the guaranties for the success. My entire admiration for the professional, open and available attitude and the nearly unlimited possibilities.

Acest lucru s-a implinit astazi 14 octombrie 1996.
Marturisesc ca m-au incercat sentimente de admiratie profunda, profesionala si colegiala fata de colectivul de aici (medical, paramedical), de mahnire reaizand diferenta dintre cele doua centre medicale, dar si optimism ca impreuna si cu Centrul Pilot de Asistenta Medicala de Urgenta Targu Mures se va infiinta si va functiona un asemena centru si la Constanta."

               Being driven by the desire to achieve a notable progress in the emergency assistance services at the Constanta County Hospital, it would have been impossible not to visit the Pilot Center for Emergency Medical Service at Targu Mures. This happened today, October 14, 1996.
I confess my profound admiration feelings, professionally, towards the team here (medical, paramedical), my sorrow feelings upon realizing the differences between the two medical centres, but also optimistical feelings that together with the Pilot Center for Emergency Medical Service in Targu Mures we will found and start operating such a centre in Constanta too.
